Courageous Kids

In Courageous Kids, we are honored to be entrusted with your children, and take seriously the responsibility to lead them toward discovering who Jesus is and how much he loves them. It is our sincere desire to support and equip parents as they seek to raise their children in the truth of God’s Word. If there is ever any specific way we can serve you in this area, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We hope your kids have a great time in Courageous Kids!

Nursery care is provided for children ages two and under. We recommend waiting until your child is at least six weeks old before bringing them to Courageous Church nursery. The following items can be packed for your nursery-aged child:

  • A filled sippy cup, labeled with first and last name
  • A diaper bag (labeled), containing diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes
  • A snack, if you prefer your child not receive the provided puffs

If your child needs you or becomes ill during the service, a nursery volunteer will locate you in the worship service and bring you back to the nursery so that you can attend to your child.

Each week, preschoolers (toddlers through 5 years old) at Courageous Kids will experience age-appropriate Bible teaching in a fun, loving, and exciting environment.

Through Bible lessons, music, puppets, games, crafts, and other fun activities, we strive to help preschoolers believe three things by the time they are five years old:

  • God made me.
  • God loves me.
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

In addition to the Bible story, your preschooler will practice the monthly Bible memory verse, and discover how it applies to their everyday life.

Children in kindergarten through fifth grade will attend their own service, comprised of large group and small group times. In large group, all children will meet together to worship God through music and a Bible story. In small group, children will practice the monthly Bible memory verse, and participate in a variety of exciting activities and games to help them apply what they’ve learned to their daily lives.

By the time children reach the fifth grade, we want them to not only know, but to have incorporated these 3 Basic Truths into their life:

  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I need to treat others the way I want to be treated.

Each month, we will focus on one specific character trait that will inspire kids to live lives that cooperate with the character of God and what God wants to do in and through them.

We believe the best way for parents to be involved in what their child is learning is to become a part of the team that teaches your child. There are many positions available where you can serve. These include greeting families, teaching, co-teaching, loving and nurturing babies and many more. For more information on how to get involved or just to find out more information about Courageous Kids, contact Lindsey at or stop by the Connect Center during one of our services.
